Shatevia Culpepper, LAPC

Shatevia is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, who received a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Columbus State University. She has worked in the community mental health sector for 9 years with children and their families as a residential case manager, behavioral aide, parent aide, counselor, and school-based therapist. As a therapist, Shatevia has worked with children who have been placed within the foster care system, experienced traumatic events in their lives, and struggle with depression, anxiety, behavioral and emotional issues, attachment issues, and other stressors.

As a therapist she believes that building a trusting relationship with your child is the key to a successful therapeutic journey.  She uses a combined approach of person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and play therapy interventions to help your child achieve his or her therapeutic goals.

Shatevia is practicing under the supervision of Alzi Faubion, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S.
