There is no single right way to build a successful life. People have different brains, strengths, challenges, backgrounds, and ideas about what it means to thrive. I believe in our capacity to learn, change, adapt, and continue becoming better versions of ourselves throughout our lives.

I have spent nearly 30 years in private practice working with adolescents, adults, couples, families, and parents. I help clients navigate mood disorders, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, life transitions, relationship and family challenges, and stable eating disorders. My style is direct, humorous, accepting, and exploratory. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself with me, but I’m also willing to challenge you, ask difficult questions, and help you turn insight into meaningful change.

I have a particular passion for working with a group I call “Launchers”—roughly ages 15 to 25. These years are filled with decisions about identity, independence, college, careers, relationships, and what kind of life you actually want to build. I especially enjoy working with athletes and artists, including elite athletes preparing to compete at the Division I or professional level. High achievement can bring tremendous opportunity alongside pressure, perfectionism, expectations, setbacks, and questions about identity. I enjoy helping young people develop the self-understanding, emotional regulation, and practical skills they need not simply to perform, but to thrive.

I’m a science and data nerd at heart. I’m fascinated by the human brain, psychology, pharmacology, and the research behind how people change. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practice while remaining flexible to the needs of the individual. My training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), brief solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care. I also have advanced training in ADHD.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia and Texas. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Louisiana State University in 1999 and began working in the mental health field in 2000.

Ultimately, I see my role as helping you understand where you are, determine where you want to go, and develop the tools to get there. My goal isn’t to define success for you. It’s to help you discover what success looks like for you—and help you build the skills and confidence to pursue it.

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy interior design, Pilates, yoga, hiking, and camping, along with spending time with Ophelia, my four-year-old Weimaraner.
