Christine Word, LMSW

Christine, (Christy) is a Licensed Master Social Worker who obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and a Master’s Degree in Social work from The University of Texas at Austin. She believes in collaborating with clients as an agent of support and guidance. She has studied, and utilizes, various modalities to help facilitate healing for those in need. As a lifelong learner, she seeks new opportunities which will broaden and enrich the lives of her clients. As a professional social worker, she is committed to serving the needs of children and families.

Christy has served in the fields of behavioral health, residential care, family preservation, community-based care, and medical social work. She has served clients with terminal illness, grief and loss issues, and complex medical diagnosis including PTSD and complex trauma. She uses trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices to help clients of all ages. She is currently in training to become a Registered Play Therapist. Christy believes in the power of a person’s story. She believes that the counseling process is a sacred partnership and everyone’s story matters.

Christy is practicing under the supervision of Alzi Faubion, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S.
