In the therapy room, Kamaria provides a safe and judgment-free space to express emotions and tell your story. She uses a variety of therapeutic modalities to help her clients in processing trauma, understanding their mental health, and building better relationships with themselves, the people in their lives, and the world with which they interact.
Kamaria has worked in several different settings including community mental health centers, schools, client’s homes, a PHP and IOP program, and a primary care office serving primarily senior citizens. In addition to providing individual sessions, she also has substantial experience working therapeutically with the family unit and in a group setting. Kamaria has vast experience working with a variety of issues, including: eating disorders, parenting concerns, ADHD, adolescents with challenging behaviors, LGBTQIA2S+ clients, and complex PTSD.
Outside of the therapy room, Kamaria enjoys reading and all things books, cooking and baking, playing tourist in and around Atlanta, and spending time with loved ones and her two cats, Selena and Captain.
Kamaria is practicing under the supervision of Charlotte Hurt, LCSW.
