Esther Okuboyejo, LMSW

Esther is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Louisville and a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Law and Society from Georgia State University. She is passionate about helping individuals who feel stuck—emotionally, relationally, or during major life transitions.

Esther has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, mood instability, attachment and relationship difficulties, family conflict, identity exploration, and life adjustments. She also works with clients experiencing stress related to work or social situations.

Esther draws from a multidisciplinary framework, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Family Systems approaches. Her goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where clients can process emotions, build coping skills, and rediscover their sense of empowerment and balance. Esther’s approach to therapy is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and encouragement. Esther is currently in training to become a Registered Play Therapist.

When she is not helping her clients, Esther enjoys cozy evenings with a warm cup of tea and a good TV show. She loves to travel and hopes to visit ten countries by the time she turns 30. Some of her favorite memories include riding a hot air balloon in Mallorca, exploring caves in Playa del Carmen, and braving the heat on an ATV ride through the Arizona desert.

Esther is practicing under the supervision of Sherri Cauthen, LCSW, RPT-S.
